MISPER – a film shot in Folkestone + live Q&A – Folkestone Film Festival
Folkestone Film Festival presents a special screening of MISPER, a new feature film entirely shot in Folkestone and Seabrook, followed by an in-person Q&A with the people who made it.
Meet the filmmakers behind the film at the Folkestone Silver Screen Cinema on Sunday, September 27th 2026. 6.30pm.
Set in a crumbling seaside hotel (The Grand in Folkestone), Leonard begins to quietly unravel after his colleague Elle vanishes. MISPER stars Samuel Blenkin and Emily Carey and uses recognisable Folkestone locations as its backdrop. After the screening, director Harry Sherriff and writer Laurence Tratalos will join the audience in person for a live Q&A hosted by Folkestone Film Festival director Ben Barton. A chance to watch a feature film made in Folkestone and nearby towns, in Folkestone’s own independent cinema, and then meet the filmmakers who made it. Certificate 12A.
Part of Folkestone Film Festival’s autumn showcase, which begins with MAN BABY, and concludes at Halloween with a horror special showing PASSENGER from Paramount Pictures with the Ashford-based writer of the film doing a Q&A. All the films have local links to Folkestone or Kent.
